Connect your writing agent

Free setup guides for working with your own agent.

These guides are free to read without an account. Using an agent still follows your Librisol plan limits. The agent provider may require a subscription or charge for API usage; a connection does not include those costs.

1. Sign in to Librisol and open Agents from your profile menu. For a key-based client, choose Add an agent. Give each connection its own name and key; choose only the books and actions it needs. You can revoke it later.

2. For a client with OAuth, begin the connection in that client and sign in on the Librisol consent page it opens. Check the account, books and requested permissions before approving. Do not open the consent page on its own.

3. Start with reading or draft writing. Create private books is a separate permission, subject to your account limits. Publishing is off by default; it requires an explicit owner grant and still follows team approval rules. Other people’s private drafts remain private.

4. Ask the agent to list its accessible books, read the platform guidance and book direction, then prepare a small draft and give you its review link. Review the highlighted changes in the book before accepting or publishing.

Choose the guide for your client below. A cloud client needs a reachable HTTPS address; localhost refers to the computer running that client, not your own computer. Never paste an access key into a chat, book or URL.
